Bird Brand OUTDOORS is a multi-purpose product for transforming gardens and outdoor spaces. Suitable for use on a variety of substrates, and quick drying, it's the perfect paint to bring the inside out!

Best Uses

Bird Brand Outdoors is a multi-purpose paint. It is suitable for use on decking, fencing, sheds and garden buildings. But is not just for timber, you can use Bird Brand OUTDOORS on metal garden furniture, PVC cladded huts, stone, guttering, fencing, benches, gates, tables and even terracotta. 

This versatile outdoor paint is suitable for prepared garden buildings, furniture, cladding, pots, planters & even decking.

Application

Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from decay, lichen or algae. Apply a suitable Fungicidal Wash and allow to dry.

Bare or untreated wood should be pre-treated with Bird Brand Superior Clear Wood Preserver to help prevent rot and decay. Ensure the ends are adequately protected. The lighter colours when used on very resinous timbers may require a blocking primer.

Metal showing signs of rust will require a rub down and a coat of Bird Brand Red Oxide Primer.

For masonry or plastic, lightly rub down the surface for a better key. Ensuring the surface is clean and dry. Dilute the first coat with water by 10% especially if very dry.

Stir and shake the tin well before use. A minimum of 2 coats is recommended. Bird Brand Outdoors can be applied using a brush, a foam roller applied or through a HPLV sprayer. Apply a generous first coat in the direction of the grain, back brush to ensure an even coverage. Allow a minimum of 2 hours between coats. This product is not recommended for indoor use.

Coverage: 8-10m2 per litre on timber. 12-14m2 on plastic and metal.
