Jotun Vinyguard Silvergrey 88
Jotun Vinyguard Silver Grey 88 is a one component physically drying, fast drying vinyl coating that can be used as primer or mid coat in atmospheric and immersed environments. Suitable for properly prepared carbon steel substrates.
Best Uses
Jotun Vinylguard Silver Grey 88 is recommended as a marine coating for topside, deck and superstructure carbon steel substrates. Also suitable as a tie coat for anti-fouling systems. Jotun Vinylguard Silver Grey 88 is suitable for continuous temperatures of 60°C and 40°C if immersed in sea water.
Application
Prepare carbon steel to SA 2 1/2 and ensure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from any contamination. For previously coated substrates ensure a compatible coating is used and that it is clean and dry as well as undamaged. Apply using an air or airless spray. Use a brush to apply product for stripe coating and small areas. Check to ensure the DFT is allowed for. Use a roller to apply on small areas. Roller is not recommended for first primer coat. Care must be taken to achieve the specified dry film thickness.
When applicable, products primarily meant for use as primers or anti-foulings may have slight colour variations from batch to batch. Such products may fade and chalk when exposed to sunlight and weathering.
